Get to know Occam
The latest addition to the long list of Horde applications is Occam, an e-learning module.
Being developed for a customer, Occam's goal is to provide a simple interface for teachers to create lessons and tests combined in courses. A course can contain any number of lessons and tests, and one final exam test at the end of the course. In a first step only multiple choice tests are supported.Students will walk through the courses in a separate, again very simple interface. They can view each lesson and run each test as often as they like, only the results of the final test get recorded.
The name "Occam" is inspired by the great philosopher Wilhelm von Ockham, originator of "Occam's Razor", nowadays better known as KISS.
