Webmail client for mobile devices, MIMP H3 (1.0-ALPHA) released
The Horde project in person of the all strenuous Michael Slusarz released the first alpha version of the Mobile Internet Messaging Program MIMP today.
Based on the enterprise-level, mature webmail client IMP, this application provides stable, web based email access through WAP or mobile browsers on mobile phones and PDAs. Automatically detecting the user's client, either a WAP/WML or a stripped down XHTML interface is provided. MIMP can even be used with a regular browser, for example if accessing email through a low-bandwidth connection.
Basic email functionality is implemented including mailbox viewing and paging, viewing messages, deleting, replying, forwarding, and composing new messages.
