OpenPSA uses Horde's SyncML library
The calendar component of OpenPSA, an open source management software for consultancies built on the Midgard Framework, is the next in utilizing Horde's SyncML library for calender synchronization.
Eero af Heurlin from the OpenPSA project announced on Horde's syncing mailing list that he successfully integrated Horde's SyncML library into the calendar component of their project to allow synchronization of calendar data.
From OpenPSA's homepage: "OpenPSA is an Open Source Professional Services Automation suite." OpenPSA is based on the Midgard Framework.
In his blog entry Eero is explaining in detail how to glue the Horde, Midgard and OpenPSA components together to get a working SyncML server. His work is based on the SyncML code of Horde 3.0.4, the latest stable version of the Horde Application Framework. He will be happy to hear that the code has made some huge steps forward since then, being released with Horde 3.1 later this year.
After the eGroupWare project, this is the second open source solution that uses Horde's SyncML library to provide syncing functionality to their users, and it hopefully won't be the last one. We are at the same time trying to abstract the code even more from Horde specific stuff, which will help delopers trying to integrate it into their own project even more.
